Students participating in the Hawkeye Service Team will enroll in this academic course. This course is an introduction to theoretical approaches to service learning and shared experiential learning. The class component includes concepts of intersectionality of varied social and community issues, reflection and reciprocity, active citizenship and community building, practical implementation of skills from student's academic disciplines, and leadership development.
This is a 3 semester course that occurs every Spring Semester (LS:1024).
