In what ways did the President's Leadership Class challenge you or change your perspective?

The President's Leadership Class allowed me to collaborate with other great, future leaders and share our leadership philosophies. Learning about the different strategies and leadership characteristics challenged the way I view leadership and helped me to develop my own leadership style.

What is your biggest takeaway from the course?

The biggest takeaway I had is that anyone can become a great leader. A person does not have to be the smartest, come from a wealthy family, or have a ton of prior experience to become a great leader.

Why should other students apply to PLC?

I would strongly encourage everyone to apply for the President's Leadership Class. At some point in life, most people will find themselves in a leadership role, no matter how big or small of a position it may be. Interacting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds allows an individual to learn about the many diverse styles of leadership and implement them in his/her own personal leadership philosophy. Plus, members of this class get to hang out with President Harreld! He is truly an intelligent and amazing man. He has many awesome stories and great life experiences that help put into perspective the topics discussed in class and how valuable great leaders can be.
